Glen Walter, the founder and managing member of the international design consultancy ELEVEN, LLC, has transitioned his focus to enter a phase of deliberate, targeted creative work at DESIGNPOINT—the studio where he first began his career in the late 1980s.
Throughout his career, Glen has orchestrated innumerable strategic design programs for Fortune 100 companies and innovative startups alike. While these initiatives were most often rooted in core product design, they organically expanded over the decades into the high-level analysis and shaping of overarching corporate vision.
Reflecting on a trajectory that yielded more designs and patents than can be easily counted, Glen views this next chapter through a lens of immense gratitude. He credits his truest success to the deep, collaborative relationships forged with the hundreds of clients, consultants, and team members who worked alongside him to solve complex global challenges.
Driven by a belief that design should serve a broader purpose, Walter dedicates a proportion of time to championing impactful, mission-driven projects that are often overlooked by purely commercial or corporate pursuits.
This commitment to giving back extends into an active thought leadership role, speaking and mentoring at institutions including Harvard, MIT, NYU, Babson, and Syracuse, as well as advising organizations like the IDSA, the Design Management Institute, and Enterprise Ireland. His insights have been featured in The Harvard Business Review, ID Magazine, The Boston Globe, and The Wall Journal, and he frequently serves as an expert juror for international design accolades, including the IDEA Awards in Washington, D.C.
